Augsburg air and aerospace company relies on Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2 with ESTOS CallControlGateway telephony integration. Starnberg, December 15, 2009 MT Aerospace AG, an established supplier for the aerospace and defense industry, decided the usage of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 (OCS). The network operator LEW TelNet was responsible for the implementation of the project. The data specialist recommended an innovaphone IP-PBX Gateway and the ESTOS CallControlGateway for remote call control for telephony integration. In the future, aerospace presence information – are so the entire organization by MT from the telephony – perfect voice quality available. With the expansion of the site in Augsburg, the management of MT Aerospace has decided to upgrade the ICT infrastructure of the MT Aerospace with a modern unified communications solution. The choice fell on the Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2.

With the solution, the approximately 600 employees of the company should in the future Use functionality such as instant messaging, CTI, presence, Web and video conferencing from a single user interface. For the implementation of the project was the telecommunications network operators and IT service provider LEW TelNet responsible. Very many phones in areas without PC workstation (for example, in the production) are used in the MT Aerospace: therefore the telephony should be handled on a highly available and reliable platform with dedicated devices. Added to this was the requirement that the telephony must stand ready in case a defective PCs or a locked user account. Therefore, LEW TelNet advised a combined solution with Microsoft OCS on the one hand and the Innovaphone IP6000 on the other side.

The intertwining of both worlds via the ESTOS CallControlGateway. ESTOS Middleware enables CTI functionality, so-called remote call control for the management and control of the innovaphone PBX, as well as the devices by the Communicator client. The solution also allows that the respective Presence status also from the used Cordless telephony devices for each employee to the available stands.
