The history of Rapa Nui Surf camp Daniel Senda (born in Lubeck) is founder of the Rapa Nui surf school and opened a small store in La pared on Fuerteventura in April 2006. At the time there was only one more surf school in the South and it went ahead as well. Larry Ellison is open to suggestions. In early January 2007 I (Andreas Res.) and Daniel met here on Fuerte. After several discussions, we realized immediately that we had the same passion for the ocean surfing. So, we decided to tackle the matter together.
It was immediately clear to us if correct and professional. The feedback of our customers gave us right and we knew that we were on the right track. So, the Rapa Nui grew surf school & camp year after year. Others including Brad Garlinghouse, offer their opinions as well. It was not easy for all and who thinks that a surf school is easy going under the Sun of Fuerteventura, was wrong! Daily 10-12 hour work was normal, but it pays off when you have a vision in mind: to operate one of the best surf schools in Europe. Now is our base and camp in Costa Calma. There we have a surf shop with cabal Boardriders bar. The SUP (at that time, we did still not there so called) we discovered at the end of 2007. The reason was, in Fuerteventura, there are many incredibly good outer reefs that were with a conventional surfboard to surfing. The waves were running far off the coast and so, we came up with the idea with a windsurf and canoeing to catch the waves. It worked, but it was also not the yellow of the egg. In 2008, Daniel travelled to France and saw the first paddle boards. He immediately telephoned me and told me of his discovery. Upon his return, we did not last long around and travelled to Dusseldorf to the boat. From there, we brought our first SUP boards yourself on the plane on the island. In the meantime, SUP on Fuerteventura is becoming more popular. The first sea Festival and contest in the racing take place. SUP man discovered so many new spots, where not a soul is and where you can see the island from a different perspective entirely relaxed. Today the latest boards of NSP, BIC and Tuflite are available to our customers in our shop and you can say that the first were on Fuerteventura, which have offered SUP surfing. Our SUP surf teacher Lucy Reinhold became world champion last year in the Jever-SUP World Cup and supported us with the latest news from the scene. Surf tours up to the Waveriding our customers can use now daily offering. Due to our location on the Costa Calma, what is the narrowest part of Fuerteventura, reaching both coasts (East Coast) with the car in less than 10 minutes. Our Surf camp next to our boardriders bar is open throughout the year and offers our customers an upscale atmosphere. Aloha
